Diogo De Tita

Diogo De Tita is a cyberkid who works in the visual area. He currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal. He builds his approach around digital culture and the internet. He has a background in art which provides him with a solid vision and knowledge in the Arts. He also pursued a Master’s degree in Contemporary Culture and News Media with his thesis on “The human body representation in history”.

De Tita finds a lot of inspiration in the Renaissance period: painting, sculpture and architecture. He enjoys creating art from his own feelings and perception, mainly because it brings a sense of sincerity to his works. People, everyday life and experiences are also sources of inspiration for him. Inspiration can be abundant or very hard to find, it is dependent on the mood. The digital era is a very interesting time for experimenting, expressing and sharing ideas. Due to the easy access of information, people and communities, it is really exciting to be a designer nowadays.

As you can see in these productions, Diogo De Tita particularly likes minimal aesthetics. It enables him to maintain a strong concept and a good visual impact. It also provides a clear idea without obstructing the viewer’s thoughts. We can guess his interest for motion pictures in the compositions he sets up. His work often gives you a feeling of fluidity and movement. It creates an energy between the different elements and the use of color reinforces that idea. Colors are fresh and well balanced, pleasing and smooth. All this constitutes Diogo De Tita’s signature work.

Diogo recreates emotions he already experienced, consciously or not, past or present. The artworks he designs represent his own personal vision of reality. The most interesting part is the link between the material world, as we know it, and a new one completely intangible but recreated and generated by a computer. He creates a new autonomous environment where the only limitations are these of the human mind. Emotional content serves as a bridge between our standardized life and the productions he conceives. Sometimes, it can be hard to capture emotions and that’s the reason why the creative process is very unstable. Natural elements are not considered in this new vision of reality. For example, time, space or gender does not exist. Like in a dream, he focuses on elements that really matter in order to introduce us to the core concept.
